Last updated: 29 July 2026 Applies to: Sable for iOS, version 1.0
Sable collects nothing. There are no accounts, no servers, and no network requests of any kind. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Nothing.
No analytics. No crash reporting. No advertising identifiers. No telemetry. No third-party SDK that collects anything. There is no data to sell, share, or lose, because none is gathered in the first place.
Sable makes no network calls. It works completely in airplane mode. There is no server to send your information to, because there is no server.
On your device, and nowhere else.
Your entries are stored in an encrypted SQLite database using SQLCipher. The encryption key is held in the iOS Keychain, protected by your device’s own security.
You can export a backup file, encrypted with a passphrase you choose. Where that file goes is entirely your decision — Sable never uploads it anywhere.
Your passphrase cannot be recovered. Not by you, not by anyone. If you lose it, the backup cannot be opened. This is a deliberate consequence of encrypting the file properly rather than holding a key on your behalf.
Bill and task reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. No push notification service is involved, and no reminder content leaves your device.
App lock is optional. When enabled, authentication is performed entirely by iOS; Sable receives only a yes-or-no result. It never sees, receives, or stores biometric data.
Two options, both immediate:
There is no copy held elsewhere, so there is nothing to request the deletion of.
Sable is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Apple collects its own information about App Store downloads under Apple’s privacy policy. That activity is Apple’s and happens independently of this app — Sable neither receives nor has access to it.
A later version of Sable may introduce a paid upgrade, which would involve Apple’s purchase handling. If that or any other change affects this policy, an updated version will be published here with a new date. This document describes Sable 1.0 as it ships.
