Sable is a calm, private budgeting app. You log your spending by hand, set monthly envelopes, and save toward what matters. No bank connections, no accounts, no network access at all.

I read every message and usually reply within a couple of days. If you’re reporting something that went wrong, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing just before it happened.
No. Sable has no sign-up, no login, and no way to create an account. Open the app and start using it.
No, and it never will. Sable is deliberately manual — you enter what you spend. That’s the whole design.
Entirely. Sable makes no network requests, so it behaves identically in airplane mode, on a plane, or in a basement.
Go to More → Backup and export a backup file. You’ll choose a passphrase to encrypt it, then save the file wherever you like — Files, iCloud Drive, email to yourself.
No. The passphrase is the only thing that can decrypt the file, and it isn’t stored anywhere — not on your device and not with me. This is what makes the backup genuinely private, and it means a lost passphrase is permanent. Keep it somewhere you trust, like a password manager.
More → Backup → Restore, then pick your backup file and enter its passphrase.
Either Start fresh inside the app, or delete the app from your device. Both remove your data completely. Since nothing is stored on a server, there’s nothing left behind.
Yes. Your data is stored in an encrypted database on your device, with the key held in the iOS Keychain. Backup files are separately encrypted with your passphrase.
Yes — turn on app lock in settings to require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode when opening Sable.
Not yet, but it’s planned.
Version 1.0 is completely free with every feature included. No subscription, no unlocks, nothing held back.
